This subject is uncapturable. It's too big and too "real" to be nailed down with concepts.

Hence, this piece will be a whiff only of truth. But that's virtually a definition of the "human condition", i.e., the human condition is limited to whiffs.

The problem, to say it straight out, is that we are hypnotized by language. First we invented it as a species to speed up and sophisticate communication and then we internalized it into thought. Unfortunately, from that point on we equated reality with thought. Reality, for a human being, equals "thought/forms".

"You", to me, are a thought/form. Of course, "I'm" also a thought form to you -- as well as to "myself". In short personal pronouns are NOTHING BUT thought forms. They have no denotative meaning; they're just sounds and ideas.

This isn't a new idea. The orient has been kicking around the notion of "maya" for millennia and (maya) = (consensus reality) = (the world of thought/language). Maya is the thought/form world in which we live and move and have our being.

As opposed to what?

As opposed to (let's call it) reality process. Yes, these too are words and concepts, but they are grounded in intuitions which transcend consensus reality. It's the self communication of intelligence. Its intelligence "condescending" to use language/thought to non dualistically communicate with itself.

Said differently, this is reality itself talking, not some ego/personality a duality away everything thought "thinks about". Indeed, the thinking about point of view IS ego/personality. It's not what the ego/personality is "doing"; it's what the ego/personality IS.

Hence, all this birth and death business is total nonsense. Nothing (no "thing") is born and nothing dies. It's all reality process.

Here's still another way to say this. The already ongoingness of immediacy is 100% reality process. Nothing is happening "over there" while you and I are "over here" conceptualizing about it.

Non dualistic, spontaneous immediacy is all, and it's forever beyond the thought/forms of religion, science, or your designer thought/form institution of choice.

It's so simple. This is It. Nowing is Realitying.

Does Evil rule human history?

Let's look at the early 3rd millennia.

More specifically, let's look at the Bush Administration (and family!) -- and if these people aren't evil incarnate, then pigs can fly.

We can talk about our noble Constitution (and it IS noble) until we're blue in the face, but people like Rupert Murdoch, George Bush Jr. & Sr., and Pat Robertson are pulling the strings of the early 3rd millennia civilization.

But these people are the dregs of human existence. They are irrational, psychotic, stupid, and . . . EVIL.

But so what else is new? Hasn't it always been so?

Think about the 3rd Reich of the 20th Century. Monstrous evil. Evil beyond imagination. Now think about the Bush Royal Family (alias, the Saudi Royal Family). Samo, samo: limitless power, vampire greed, infinite hypocrisy, and mass murderers. And these are the people who are at the helm of our American Ship of State.

As opposed to who? Who do we have as a nation and country to oppose them? The diaper dems? People like the Hillary Clinton DLC Doll and Judas Joe Lieberman? This is called washing off blood with blood.

History isn't a subject which makes you optimistic about defeating evil. Yes, the allies "won" WW2, but then came the Soviet Union business and Korea and Vietnam. And now Iraq, Afghanistan, and if President Filth has his way, Iran.

In short, basically years of war interspaced with months (or weeks) of peace.

By why? War is lose/lose for civilization and humanity -- but it's win/win for evil. It has been so through the millennia.

Said differently, George Bush, Sadam Hussein, Dick Cheney, Adolph Hitler, Genghis Khan are all the same person, because the more you lack morality and rationality, is the more you an insensitive, simplistic hate machine. And the Bush Family has enough hate on tap to drown the east coast. They sure didn't blink when they cold bloodily murdered New Orleans, did they?

Bush is just another word for hate or evil. Maybe eventually, we'll speak of Good and Bush, not Good and Evil. Hell, use Satan while you're at it, or the 3rd millennia anti-Christ. Evil is evil is evil, and evil as always is tearing at the vulnerable throat of civilization. Unfortunately, for the first time in human history, evil has reached the magnetite that it can (and is) killing the biosphere of planet Earth.

Does this mean we should stop fighting the good fight. Certainly not, but realistic, factual history is whispering to us that (like it or not), evil generally (always?) has the last laugh.

Case in point? The here and now world. What more evidence do we need? Devils, hypocrites, maggots, Republicans, Texas energy corporations, terrorists, neocon traitors, and Armageddon freaks; call them what you like, but they are indifferent to law, civilization, morality, and rationality. They have their designer lusts and they would unhesitatingly boil your children in oil to get what they want.

And, however much it may torment us to admit it, THEY ARE STILL IN CONTROL OF AMERICA AND THE EARTH.

So what else is new?

Said differently, the biological evidence is strongly on the side that morality and rationality are being selected out of the human adventure.

Grim assessment? Well, this ain't Disney Land and the top of Pandora's Box doesn't even exist. It never did. Pandora’s Box has always been the House of Bush.

and yet, you keep "running your errands",
putting one foot in front of the other, as they say,
while all the while you're dying in that water torture,

who treasures your company, your dignity and spirituality
and who is as swollen and moist with lust for you
as you are for her

hand holding with you,

the paradox of potato men
is their desperate, pitiful charade
that the Holy Grail of loving your lover,
and being loved BY your lover,
has become for them a matter of no consequence.
they have, after all, their tasks de jour,
pants to buy, bills to pay, lawns to mow, and they fold
letters quite evenly before sticking them in envelopes.

thus in sexual concentration camps, like shopping malls
(there's many others)
a potato man keeps his eye on the ball,
and walks dutiful, responsibility walks
on rainbow less, castrated, Platonic journeys.
but SHOULD his eyes wander (naughty, naughty!)
to the cheeks of the woman burgeoning so artfully before him,
he merely shifts his gaze,
nonchalantly announcing to whomever,
no big deal, I've got more IMPORTANT things on MY mind,
gee, I've got some pants to buy, what do you think about that?
why should I be paying attention to the mere ass of a goddess?

this dying game he plays with himself countless times a day!
but why do potato men do this?
I'm not sure you really want to know,
it may break your heart,
but here's the answer anyway.

it's all about not adding insult to injury.
you see, for potato men,
living = dying from THIS injury,
and you just die and die until you're finally, fucking dead!
but IN THE MEANTIME, potato men (at least try to) give themselves
the only gift left in life they CAN give themselves,
which is to act "as if" they're above all this passion business
and placidly detached.

thus, when glimpsing even the coverings
of creatures they used to prowl in
FUCKING YOUR BRAINS OUT JUNGLES WITH,
they turn away like mannequins
preoccupied with pencils and erasers.

what else can they do?
roll around the floor, holding in what's left of their guts,
howling to the universe for their (once upon a time) lovers?
who gives a shit?
who's listening?

but here's something worth doing.
find a potato man (trust me, they're everywhere),
but don't look at his clothes,
look into his eyes,
but be warned, that's hard to do, since potato men make a science
of eye contactlessness (so infinite is their shame and loss).
but IF you can get his gaze, and hold it,
what you'll find there see may surprise you,
because there's a REAL man inside that potato man
who's never stopped keeping the faith for a lover.
a man who knows all about passion and abandon
and hand holding in French restaurants and feeling
mountain winds at night and breakfasting on the seashore,
and who will hold in his heart,
and who will hold in his groin,
to very death and beyond death,
the sacredness and human poignancy of what passion can be like

What Heart of Darkness festers in the center of the Bush/Republican Onion?

We know and read about the small stuff. Of course, it really isn't small stuff; it's just small stuff "relative to" the big stuff -- you know, the treasonous stuff, the planet killing stuff, the 3rd millennia crusade against Islam stuff.

For openers, it's now common knowledge now that 9/11 could have been prevented. Dear God, they had a blizzard of warnings -- all ignored. But how many layers into the onion is the answer to WHY

these warnings were systematically ignored? What "payoff" did Bush & Cheney, etc. get by ignoring these warnings?

Most of us suspect that the answer is that 9/11 was ignored for treasonous political reasons. They knew that a terrorist attack would help Bush's political capital. Simple as that. Plus, there's also the possibility that 9/11 was (how shall we put it?) more than allowed . . .

Now that, my friends, is big BIG stuff!

The question is will the committees (especially the post 2008 committees) be able to shine legal/constitutional light on these all too realistic possibilities? Will they be able to prove once and for all that the fanatical neocons criminally betrayed America just to drag president pinhead out the political toilet he was in before 9/11?

And speaking of neocons, how far down into the onion are the deep roots of the neocon cabal? To what lunatic fringe of what country is the neocon lobby answering to? They certainly don't represent the well being and national security of the United States of America, as their track of record of failure, genocide, and bankruptcy of the American economy abundantly demonstrates. So are we ever going to find out who has "really" been pulling the strings of American foreign policy? And still is.

Of course, much of the core stuff we already know, even though we've spent most of our country's history being in denial about it. The last seven years have rubbed our patriotic faces in the infinitely ugly truth that our country is now (and always has been) a Dictatorship of the Rich. Said differently, this still is the Middle Ages and the one or two percent are still treating all the rest of us like cattle. We pay the taxes, we fight the wars (see any Bush's in Iraq?), and we clean their commodes. Here's just one of thousands of examples: in the last few years, Texas energy company profits of gone up SEVERAL HUNDRED percent. How are you doing at the pumps these days?

So, deep in the onion is a Class War, and boy are the middle and lower Classes getting slaughtered!

Lastly, where in the onion is hard evidence that things like global warming, expanding ozone holes, stifled medical research, etc., etc., are directly related to policies engineered by nutcase religious fanatics who actually WANT the Earth to die? Let's face it, George's Armageddon death wish is right there in that army of brain less religious fanatics who anticipate being "lifted up" any day now. Yeah, right. The point is, the rapturettes have made their choice, and it's ain't the Earth. The Earth is precisely what they can't wait to be "saved" from. Mother Nature for these people is not a mythological goddess, she's a whore to be used and abused.

And speaking of which, isn't it interesting that this whole complex of pug fundamentalists have so much contempt for anything feminine, e.g., "Mother" Nature. No, they like that 'ol time (male) religion that has always subjugated and exploited women.

Here's a final thought. What do you bet that somewhere in this filthy onion is organized crime? We shouldn't forget that the more constitutional governments disintegrate (like now!), the more organized crime has a feeding frenzy. Plus, the pugs are sure plugged into Florida . . .

Once upon a time, before the Christian Right, before Christian fundamentalists, before George W. Bush, Christianity had at least something to do with compassion, kindness, and spirituality.

Now, however, the religion of Jesus Christ (at least in America) has been reduced to the infinite hypocrisies of sub humans like Tom Delay,"Dr" Frist, and glassy-eyed, gay-hating, Muslim-hating television Christian Evangelists.

The question is, are these psychopaths the precursors of a religious insanity which will necessarily destroy civilization along with much of the biosphere of the Earth?

In short, has religion turned into our worst nightmare?

In the Middle East we get to choose between Muslim "holy warriors" (that infinite contradiction in terms) and the, hypocritical real estate ambitions of a (self) chosen people.

Everywhere we look, we see religious fanatics trumpeting murder in the name of God . . . always, always in the name of God.

The problem is that such human beings are simply out of reach. They are so caught up in their terror of life that things like rationality, justice, and science are meaningless to them. They might just as well have time warped back from the hordes of Genghis Kahn or Hitler's torch light parades.

Said differently, they are virtually another human species. Homo religioso: the cancer that is rapidly killing us all.

The question before us, is this religious evolution into hatred, violence, and greed inevitable, i.e., is the religious free ride over and are we now seeing the latent Heart of Darkness of ALL religions?

After all, we should take note that religion has always been mankind's designer Disney Land of choice when life gets too confusing and frightening and for literally billions of human beings the 3rd millennia is just too over the top.

So what to do? Well, there's always the pamphlet solution. You can always self lobotomize and join a cult and maybe indirectly (if not directly) righteously kill lots of "alien" people in the process.

When you talk with a religious zealot, you never really have a conversation. What happens is that you get "preached at” by people who would kill your children in a heartbeat if they thought that would garner them some cult points.

The bottom line (and this isn't complicated!) is that religious fanatics and zealots are certifiably insane. Or said more generally, religion has become an institutionalized army of psychotics.

Perhaps over the centuries the good will and sanity of a few religious practioners concealed the fact that religions IN ITS ESSENCE is insanity incarnate.

This turns out to be a very plausible thesis. After all, isn't the core of sanity to "be in touch with reality", and isn't a religious "cult" (by definition!) a gaggle to cowards and wimps who are in pell mell flight from reality?

However, it's increasingly obvious that reality cowards are a luxury our planet can now longer afford. In the 3rd millennia (and for evermore), losing touch with reality is equivalent to turning into a planetary cancer cell.

So our neighbors and relatives who choose dingbat doctrines over science, rationality, and truth aren't just harmless people who happen to have "different views"; they are literal psychopaths disguised to look like adult Homo sapiens. Reality for them is horror and their infantile one liners are symptoms of a reality cowardice they are willing to kill for -- over and over and over again.

Surely the toilet of insanity and carnage called the "religious" Middle East is proof positive of what happens to civilization when the essence of institutionalized religion (i.e., terror of truth) is allowed to run amok,

Has Bush pulled the bow so far back that he's finally loosened the arrow of American Socialism?

It's astonishing how many well intentioned Americans are still tricked into thinking that we’re living in a Constitutional Democracy. Not surprising really, since the Greek God like elites have their hands inside all the media puppets, but break troughs of awakening are happening in spite of (because of?) Fox Snooze, "Clear Channel", and relentless, un-American Murdoch/Gobbles propaganda.

This should be our mantra: AMERICA IS NOT A DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC.

May we say that again: AMERICA IS NOT A DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC.

America is an "oligarchy" (to use a fancy word); it's a Dictatorship of the Rich -- and always has been. Remember the "robber barons". Jeez, small time compared to Cheney/Halliburton. The robber barons were sparrows compared to corporate Texas energy greed vampires. At least they weren’t able to murder Mother Nature.

And make no mistake the Bush/Republican greed vampires ARE killing our one and only planet. This isn't hyperbole. It's really, really happening. The Earth is dying. Why? Because the Bush 4th Reich is run by a dim witted religious fanatic with an Armageddon death wish and a lust for fossil fuels so limitless that he's willing to trade the blood of our children for stolen Middle Eastern oil.

So the thread that runs through EVERYTHING (including fascist-enabling diaper dems like Hillary Clinton and Judas Joe Lieberman) is that America is controlled by Greek God like elites. One or two percent of our country absolutely subjugates the middle and lower classes, i.e., that's us.

Thus, this should be our second mantra: WE ARE IN A CLASS WAR -- and we are losing. God, how we're losing! The pig, pig rich are stealing EVERYTHING. Look at our vanishing retirements. Look at the under funded, second class schools our children are now condemned to. Look at our non existent health care. Look at the death of American medical research. Look at the going belly up of American science in general.

So where is all this money going? Duh. To the top 1 and 2 percent. These fascist greed vampires are bleeding us dry! It's not enough for them to have 2 mansions, they have to have 3. It's not enough for them to have 5 cars, they have to have 7. It's not enough to spend more money on their health in one day than we do on our children's health in a year. It's not enough for them to pay the same percentage of taxes we do; they don't want to spend ANY taxes. It’s not enough for them to have a two weeks vacation. They want their lifetime international vacation to be 24/7.

In short, back to square one. Back to the absolute necessity of wresting our God given Constitutional birthright back from the infinitely avaricious Dictatorship of the Rich.

Some how, some way, we've got to get their loathsome platinum teeth out of our throats. We've probably waited a hundred years too long as it is. If ever in American history the time has come for an American Socialist Party, it's now. The alternatives are neo Nazi Bush/Republicans and diaper dem enablers.

Actually the word "socialism" (it's just a word) is irrelevant; we can use something else. Call it the America First Party. We can call it whatever we like, but the only thing that can save us from the Bush 4th Reich is a fully functioning Liberal/Progressive Party. Ironically, to be accurate, it would really only be our 2nd political party since the (former) Democratic Party has betrayed and degraded itself out of the pageant of history.

Self evidently, America has hit bottom during these last seven years, but maybe that's not so bad since the bottom is where all the bounce is. And maybe finally, finally the middle and lower classes are actually beginning to revolt against being commode cleaners for the pig, pig rich.

We have the laws, we have the Constitution, and we're the vast majority of the country. What are we waiting for?

Sound Reasons to keep the Liberal/Progressive Faith

Hey, it's not all bad! Lots of articles and op-ed's address the tragedies and cancers inflicted upon America by the Bush/Republican Administration (i.e., the 4th Reich), and God knows, Pandora's Box has been opened and reopened with the 2000, 2002, and 2004 stolen elections. And denial = death for us right now, since one has be impeccably realistic when fighting for our country's life.

However, we shouldn't go SO far in that direction that we gloss over many hard core, realistic reasons for hope.

(1.) To begin with, we DID win the 2006 midterms by an (unreported) landslide. Yes the Congressional dems may not be sufficiently following through with our hard won populist mandate, but at least the elections were light years away from the ineffectual strategies of 2004.

Certainly, other factors came into it, like bin Laden's timely photo op for Bush right before the election (Bush/bin Laden are so joined at the hip!), but our FIRST responsibility now is to take responsibly for success, not whine about excuses. Anyway, however you cut it, 2006 was a triumph! We must never forget where we were before those midterms. Post-2006 is a different universe and we should never stop celebrating that fact.

(2.) The investigative committees are doing their wheels of justice thing as we sleep. But we shouldn't expect overnight sensations, since to grind exceedingly fine, takes time. We should also remember that we have our most aggressively liberal dems chairing those committees, and those bulldogs are not going to un clamp their teeth until much blood is let.

(3.) An incalculably important positive is that the lose/lose neocon ideologies which have taken America's foreign policy hostage for the last seven years are now being seen in poll after poll as "doing more harm than good" to the national defense and security of the State of Israel. Thus, to the degree that Bush pursues his corporate oil wars and Muslim genocide fanaticisms AT THE COST OF Israel's well being, he's going to have a friend turned enemy to the max. There is simply NO WAY he can keep stealing Middle Eastern oil and running his 3rd millennia "Crusade" (in the name of his Armageddon death-wishing God) if our Israeli ally gets trashed in the process.

(4.) This one is tricky since it hurts us as well as Bush, but most national financial indicators are blinking that Bush is quite literally (and very rapidly) bringing America's economy to bankruptcy. Even America's comptroller general (and who would know better?) recently said we're getting closer and closer to being able to pay only the interest on our international loans. By the time Bush is done, we may have to change our name to the United States of China.

For middle and lower class America, things are already bad, bad, bad, but the probability is that we ain't seen nothing yet! We already have 2 or 3 jobs just to keep our heads above water, our retirements (national and otherwise) are vanishing, our health care is ceasing to exist, and our children are going to under funded, second class schools.

All this is happening for exactly two reasons: (1.) Bush’s corporate Middle Eastern Oil Wars and (2.) the inevitable results of giving astronomical tax breaks to America's Greek God like elites. The (small) silver lining in all this is that for most people, economic reality trumps political loyalties and the more Americans realize the Bush 4th Reich is breaking their financial backs, is the more they will vote the psycho out.

(5.) The Religious Right has shot itself in the foot so many times of late with one sexual scandal after another, that its moral credibility is now simply laughable. It still has a little traction left, but they fit the "give a fool enough rope and he/she will hang himself" nearly to perfection. After "Dr." First’s disgusting videotape diagnosis of Terri Shiaveo, it has all been down hill.

(6.) Lastly, the Bush/Republican rape of Mother Nature will certainly be seen by history as America's lowest hour. Our ancestors for millennia to come will hate this administrations guts, since window after window of opportunity is closing to keep our planet from dying. There is so MUCH we could be doing, but the neo Nazis are doing NOTHING, and once again in a politics transcending way, the tentative evidence is that more and more "Earthling" Americans are realizing that Bush is killing our children's futures and they know that, as always, it's being doing in the name of his Oil Wars and designer religious insanities. Indeed, in the name of his religious cult, Bush is doing everything he can to "hasten" the death of the Earth, and many Americans are finally waking up to this fact.

As has so often been said, you can fool some of the people all of the time, all the people some of the time, but you can't fool all of the people all of the time (the Rove doctrine), and snapping out of foolishness is the lesser of the evils when the alternative is national bankruptcy and the rape and murder of our one and only planet.

So if we keep “improving” and waking up at our present rate, 2008 should be at least as much better than 2006, as 2006 was better than 2004. Very few bells and whistles, but we’re on a realistic roll and the vast sleeping tiger of American Progressivism is now wide awake!
